Zinke is following science with delisting effort
Throughout his tenure, including his recent term as Congressman for Montana, Ryan Zinke has consistently advocated for wildlife management. His ongoing efforts to delist the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) grizzly bear are both valid and deeply appreciated, especially by those in communities most affected. With the grizzly bear population rising to over 1000 from 737 in just two years, and receiving a high resiliency rating from the US Fish and Wildlife Service in 2021 for the GYE, it makes logical sense to remove the grizzly bear from the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
Zinke's position aligns with the principles of science-based management. It is important to recognize this achievement and move forward with the delisting process. Zinke is fulfilling his promises, and I commend him for his dedicated work in Montana.
