Congressman Zinke Takes the Lead on Securing the Northern Border

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, Western Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke led 28 members in launching the Northern Border Security Caucus with Co-Chairman Pennsylvania Congressman Mark Kelly. The coalition consists of representatives of districts along the U.S. – Canada border sounding the alarm on the lack of resources for agents protecting the world’s longest international border. 

The rollout included a letter to Secretary Mayorkas calling for immediate aide to troops experiencing overwhelming apprehension numbers and no additional assistance coming from DHS. 

“The first thing bad guys do is go where the good guys aren’t. Right now, all our good guys are dealing with Biden’s crisis on the Southwest border leaving the north unprotected and vulnerable to criminals, cartels, and terrorists,” Zinke said. “By establishing this caucus, we will provide critical oversight and expose the truth to the American people about the nationwide crisis this administration has willingly caused.”
