Congressman Zinke Votes to End COVID-19 Restrictions
February 2, 2023
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - This week, Western Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke voted for five bills that declare an end to the three-year Coronavirus pandemic, restore individual vaccinee decisions and reinstate federal workforce systems that reflect America’s needs.
“The only ‘unprecedented times’ Americans have faced the past two years is the Biden Administration’s failed attempt at socialism and gross abuses of federal power,” Zinke said. “This week, I upheld another promise I made to the people of Montana and voted to rein in the federal government’s “emergency” powers and restore the rights stripped by the Administration’s unconstitutional overreach.”
Congressman Zinke voted yes to:
- H.R. 382 - Pandemic is Over Act.
- H.J. Res. 7 - Relating to a national emergency declared by the President on March 13, 2020.
- Terminates the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency on the date of enactment and forces the Biden administration to be transparent with the American people if he needs further authority.
- H.R. 497 - Freedom for Health Care Workers Act.
- Eliminates the federal vaccine mandate for frontline healthcare workers and prevents CMS from enacting similar rules which directly impacted healthcare shortages in rural and underserved communities across Montana.
- H.R. 139 - SHOW UP Act of 2023.
- Republicans introduced this Act to prevent the Biden administration from cementing pandemic-era telework policies until it proves the efficacy of remote work.
- H. Con. Res. 9 - Denouncing the horrors of socialism.
- This denounces socialism in all forms and calls out the radical socialist ideals that have terrorized nations and continually failed where implemented.
