Today, Western Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke voted for H.J. Res. 44, the Congressional Review Act (CRA) that would nullify the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) pistol brace rule the Biden Administration finalized in January 2023. “Biden and radical democrats in the House are taking every action possible to turn law-abiding Montana gun owners into felons – and I won’t stand for it. The latest attempt from the Biden Administration to erode our Second Amendment right falls right in line with the rest of their anti-Montana agenda,” Zinke said. “I was sent to D.C. to protect our Montana values and way of life against government overreach and unconstitutional regulations. I proudly cosponsored the legislation to overturn the Biden pistol brace ban and I hope my colleagues in the Senate, including Montana’s two U.S. Senators, side with Montana.”

Zinke and his colleagues also asked CBP to provide a response within 30 days from receiving the letter.

Congressmen Ryan Zinke (R-MT) and Congressman Donald Davis (D-NC), along with twelve additional colleagues including every Navy SEAL in Congress, introduced a bipartisan, bicameral bill to ensure the Department of Veterans Affairs is granting veterans access to life-saving mental health care in their local communities. The legislation streamlines veteran’s community-based care by allowing expedited residential healthcare referrals when the local VA is at capacity. The bill also requires yearly tracking of referrals to be reported to Congress, and requires any alterations the VA may seek to make to community care standards be made by Congress, not the department.

Today, Western Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke voted to secure our nation’s borders through the passage of House Republican's H.R. 2: the Secure the Border Act. The passage of H.R. 2 comes the day before the expiration of Title 42, an existing authority that allows the President to expel individuals illegally crossing the border for the duration of COVID-19. The passed legislation directs border wall construction, invests in security technology, and increases border personnel, and mends the asylum system where Biden has abused it.

The debt ceiling bill, championed and passed thanks in part to Rep. Ryan Zinke, is a small step toward finding a sustainable and effective trajectory for healthy economic growth. Both parties have for too long willfully created inflation through the false belief that as long as they have a printing press, they can create wealth.

Limit Save Grow

Today, Western Montana Congressman Ryan Zinke voted for the Limit, Save, Grow Act which aims to limit federal spending, save taxpayer dollars, and grow the economy. “The people of Montana sent me to Congress to fix the mess – not add to it. The Democrats’ plan to raise the debt ceiling without looking into the issue that caused us to hit the limit is the definition of fiscal irresponsibility,” Zinke said. “With nothing but lies coming from Democrats in all three branches, House Republicans crafted a long-term solution to curb reckless spending, save taxpayer dollars, reinforce Social Security and Medicare programs, and decrease our dependance on potential adversaries. Anyone who understands a hard day’s work would vote to pass this bill.”
