The grant will support the expansion of Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) across the state, helping Montanans train for high paying, in demand skilled jobs.

"The bridge is 100 years old and it has holes the size of trash can lids," Zinke told The Ledger, saying that he was surprised and concerned at the amount of deterioration that has occurred since his last visit in October. "The bridge isn't going to last six years."

The requests were submitted to the House Appropriations Committee of which he is a member. The projects would benefit communities in the following counties: Beaverhead, Flathead, Gallatin, Granite, Lake (2), Lincoln (2), Missoula (2), Mineral (2), Powell, Ravalli (3), and Sanders (3).
